When asking a Nashville season-ticket holder about the best arena in the NHL, expect a response centered on Smashville’s noise. On the other hand, a fan of the Golden Knights will most likely talk about the Strip. 

Google Reviews gives us a fair and straightforward glimpse of what people think about a place after visiting, regardless of whether they attended a hockey game, concert, or any other kind of event. These reviews can’t be considered scientific and include the opinions of fans - thousands of them! 

So I pulled the numbers and ranked the five highest-rated current NHL arenas to see what they reveal.

Best NHL Arenas: Methodology

Ratings change frequently, so consider this simply a snapshot. I collected Google's star rating and overall reviews for every arena hosting NHL teams, based on Google Business details listed for each. Only arenas currently hosting NHL teams were taken into account, and if there were any ties, review count was used to break them.

It’s important to note that many older, tourist-heavy arenas in cities such as Las Vegas or Los Angeles receive reviews from people who have never actually been to a hockey game, as they may have only been visiting them as part of other events such as concerts or UFC fights. Because of this, it could impact the ratings released by Google since it combines different types of events together.

NHL fans call it an "LA Icon," saying how organized the building is for its size, as escalators and security lines flow smoothly even when very busy. Complaints pertain mostly to slow food service in the luxury suites, and very few people have experienced any issues, so the ranking is definitely justified.

2. T-Mobile Arena — Las Vegas, NV

Supporters commend the location, noting that it is immaculate and roomy and has excellent sightlines from nearly all levels. Friendly staff members were noted also, but opinions varied on post-game security. Interactive food counters that monitor waiting times are especially well-received. Since the venue was constructed with fan flow in mind, the score appears to be well-deserved.

3. Bridgestone Arena — Nashville, TN

Fans constantly remark on the building's acoustics and the atmosphere created by the audience, in addition to its quick security checks and better pedestrian experience in the city. Opinions seem divided with complaints directed at the high costs of food, particularly that of the famous hot chicken. The fact that Bridgestone has been dubbed one of the loudest places around corresponds with the reviews made by its visitors.

4. Amalie Arena / Benchmark International Arena — Tampa, FL

A quick note regarding accuracy is that the building operated as Amalie Arena all these years, but as of 2025, the building is Benchmark International Arena now, even if everyone still calls it by the old name. Reviewers are praising the open-concourse design because it allows people to watch the ice while waiting in the food line as well as the local crowd and inexpensive parking.

5. Climate Pledge Arena — Seattle, WA

Critics love the ultra-modern renovation and the eye-catching “Climate Pledge wall,” as well as the food and drink venues available in-house. Biggest Surprises in the Best NHL Arenas Rankings

For me, it was Climate Pledge Arena, even though it's one of the most architecturally recognized new venues in professional sports with the lowest score and smallest review base from the top five, as it still resolves issues like intermission traffic problems experienced by older venues long ago.

However, Bridgestone Arena manages to score full points for an impressive 4.7 despite being one of the oldest venues, which means that while age may make a venue less attractive to fans, the facilities can make up for that in terms of quality of the atmosphere and staff.

Are Google Reviews a Good Way to Rank NHL Arenas?

In truth, it's a double-edged sword. Leaving aside manipulative reviews and competitors talking bad about venues just because they can.

These reviews don’t measure only hockey games, they represent concerts and family-oriented shows as well as tourist attractions, which means that a certain venue’s reputation about its “hockey experience” and its Google score aren't always perfectly aligned.
