My birthday was last weekend, and I got to run the birthday gauntlet of promotions and offers. Some were surprising, and others were like getting a gift from an office coworker who really didn’t want to give you something, but did so to keep up appearances. Keep reading to learn what I received and what you can generally expect on your birthday.

Crown Coins Kicked Things Off

Crown Coins sent me my largest birthday gift, and it hit my account at the start of the month. Rather than waiting for my exact birthday, they get things out of the way early. I received 10 SC when I logged in on September 1.

The gift required a 1x rollover, like all other freebies. This will be the theme across all free SC gifts. 10 SC equals what I get each month for my Silver VIP reward, so it was a nice boost. I didn’t receive anything additional on my birthday, but their gift was the largest I received.

Which Sweeps Casinos Stepped Up My Birthday

Fast forward to my birthday, and that’s when the gifts started coming in. My first gift came from Golden Hearts Casino, which gave me 5 SC. That was a solid reward from a site that tends to be stingy on its gifts.

LuckyLand Casino also dropped 5 SC into my account on my birthday. This was a bit surprising considering that I only started playing with them last month.

MyPrize really surprised me with its 5 SC birthday gift. The daily bonuses at this site are among the lowest of the sites I consistently play, so a random 5 SC boost wasn't on my Bingo card.

Spinfinite emailed me on my birthday to say they sent me 2 SC. This was very surprising since I haven’t played for them since they blocked me from getting their Prime promotions.

My next reward was a bit disappointing. Stake.us gave me 1 SC for my birthday, equal to its daily bonus. This was surprising, considering some of their promotions can be lucrative. Still, it was more than some sites sent.

Modo sent me a birthday gift, but it was just Modo Stars. I received 250 Stars, which is enough for some promotional tickets or GC, but not enough to exchange for SC or gift cards.

The only other site that attempted to send me anything on my birthday was Spree. They offered me a discounted GC package, and it wasn’t enough to prompt a purchase.

Which Casinos Failed to Step Up

Several sites failed to offer me anything on my birthday, not even a discounted GC package. Some were not surprising. For example, I didn’t even get a Happy Birthday email from any of the 14 casinos that recently promo-banned me. I logged into a few for giggles, but no presents.

Real Prize and LoneStar Casino also failed to give me anything on my birthday. While I am “promo banned” from them, I still get daily login and social media rewards and can redeem (even though it takes 30 days to redeem). I assumed they would send, like, 1 SC gift or some spins on one of their low-RTP games. Nope. Nothing.

WowVegas didn’t give anything on my birthday. This surprised me the most, as they are usually good with promotions, and I am in good standing with the casino. 

Other sites that didn’t give a birthday reward include Zula, Yay Casino, Baba Casino, Rolla, and Fortune Wins.

Other than Pulsz, none of the 10 SC minimum-redemption casinos I frequent gave a birthday gift. This includes McLuck, Ace, Mega Bonanza, Jackpota, and Hello Millions. Mega Bonanza sent me a Happy Birthday email, but that’s it.

Birthday Rewards Are a Great Way to Show Appreciation to Players

Sweepstakes casinos that give birthday rewards understand the importance of retaining loyal players. Giving players something on their birthday shows appreciation for their play and can often increase player loyalty.

Personally, I was impressed that sites like Golden Hearts stepped up with a birthday reward. It gives me another reason to leave them on my playlist, at least until they decide to promo ban me. For a casual player, an unexpected gift may spark more play and even a new GC package purchase.

Conversely, the sites that failed to step up with a birthday reward stick out. Some were already pegged as cheapskates, while others suggest they may not value players as much as they claim.

28 SC Was a Nice Birthday Gift

Getting an extra 18 SC in rewards on my birthday was a nice surprise and almost equaled the VIP birthday gifts that I received from real-money casinos. The extra 10 SC I got from Crown Coins on September 1 brought my total rewards to 28 SC. Not bad for just logging in.

Birthday gifts are often overlooked as a selling point for sweepstakes casinos, and I didn’t read much into them myself. However, after my experience this year, I will definitely factor them into my play for next year, assuming that Virginia doesn’t ban sweepstakes casinos.
