Crown Rips Lets Players Chase $100,000 Pokemon and Sports Cards

Crown Coins recently expanded its digital gaming experience to give players a chance to take part in one of the most exciting trends in collectibles. Players can now purchase Crown Rips to take a shot at pulling elite-level Pokémon and sports trading cards. 

This new option brings a unique gaming experience to the sweepstakes industry and gives players a chance to win cards worth up to $100,000. Players have the option to keep their cards or sell them on the spot for cash.

Crown Coins Introduces Crown Rips

Recently, Crown Coins introduced Crown Rips. It calls Crown Rips a “digital collectible card experience” where players get a chance to pull elite-level trading cards. For those who don't know, "ripping" in trading card parlance means opening sealed packs of cards.

You start by making a GC purchase. Instead of getting bonus SC with each package you purchase, you’ll get a free Crown Rips pack. Each pack will have a minimum and maximum value, and the odds behind the types of cards you can pull range based on the “Thrill Level” you set. 

For example, an Entry level pack set at a normal thrill level will have a 66.64% chance to pull a common down to a 0.3% chance to pull a legendary. High thrill level only has two options, resulting in a 94.73% chance to pull a common and a 5.27% chance to pull a Legendary. In higher-level packs, you actually get a chance to pull a grail card.

Once you pull your card, you have two options. You can sell the card immediately and receive 100% of the card’s Fair Market Value (FMV), or you can pay to have the card shipped to you. Crown Coins also offers a vault option, but you can only keep cards in your vault for three days before the system automatically sells them.

If you opt to sell your card, your funds become part of your Cash balance. Once you have at least $5 in your cash balance, you can withdraw your money. The Cash balance is separate from your SC balance.

What Types of Cards Are Available

You have two options when purchasing Crown Rips. The first is Pokémon, the classic trading game that has become a worldwide phenomenon. If you pick Pokémon, you have a chance to win elite and grail-level cards from various sets, including the Shining Gyarados from 2001’s Neo Revelation or even an OG Charizard from the original base set.

For multi-sports cards, you can pull a card from most any professional sport, with top cards including LeBron James and Michael Jordan rookie cards and a 2000 Playoff Contenders autographed Tom Brady card worth $100,000.

Card Rips Proving Extremely Popular So Far

Thus far, Crown Card Rips are proving extremely popular, with the initial offering selling out in just a couple of hours. Now, players can regularly purchase rip packages, with plenty of solid options for sports and Pokémon collectors.

Pack rips are a growing gaming segment in the collectibles world, and Crown Coins was smart to include it in its gaming. The only thing I personally don’t like is that the sports packs do not include anything pre-80s. I would love to see some older Topps or classic Hall of Famers like Cal Ripken, Mickey Mantle, or even Babe Ruth.
