How does Blackjack work?
Blackjack, also known as 21, is one of the most popular casino games in the world. One of the main reasons why it is so popular is that playing is really easy, it doesn’t have too many rules and it doesn’t take too much time to learn it or to get great profits.
One of the best Blackjack games in Casino Bodog include the Single Deck Blackjack, Double Deck Blackjack, European Blackjack and Classic Blackjack.
Step by step
Before each hand players need to make their bets. These are represented with casino chips of different values according to their color.
The dealer gives a card to each player facing up and he keeps one card facing down. Then, he asks the players of the table, starting by its left, if they want any more cards. Each player can have as many cards as they want.
Once the players are ready to continue, the dealer draws more cards until he has a total of 17 points. If the dealer scores points above 21, the players win. If you score between 17 and 21 points, players who have a total greater than the dealer's score win.
European Blackjack
The rules of European Blackjack are similar to the rules of the American version. However, they do have some different characteristics: the number of decks, some versions remove some cards, the dealer acts, plays and change the possible actions of the player.
These small variations can change completely the way the game is played. We recommend you to try all different types of Blackjack to find the one you like the most.
Zappit Blackjack or Free Bet Blackjack
The rules of this type of Blackjack are similar to the American version. However, there’s one different rule: if the dealer has a hand over 22, it’s considered a tie and the player’s original bet will be refunded.

Insurance
If the first card of the dealer is an Ace, then the player has the option to get insurance against the dealer’s possible Blackjack, paying half of the initial bet. If the dealer has Blackjack, the player loses the bet, but after paying the insurance, the benefit is zero. If the dealer doesn’t have Blackjack, two different situations can happen: one, the player wins or he loses his insurance but wins the equivalent to his initial bet.
In the Blackjack book of rules, there’s a special rule about the division of the aces: when splitting the aces, the player can get one card per table.
Duplication
After receiving two cards, the player has the option of double his bet but only get one card later on.
As in most casino games, if you are willing to risk more, the chances of winning more are greater.
